Patient Representation

A number of dedicated Patient Representatives work with NHS West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s programme teams to help shape and influence our commissioning approach.

Patient Representatives focus on a wide range of specialist subjects, including primary care, end of life care and maternity.

To support Patient Representatives to influence our work, we identify key contacts within the clinical commissioning group, key meetings to attend and outline our support offer, including an offer of regular one-to-one meetings.

The clinical commissioning group also supports Patient Representatives to further their learning to help them have maximum impact in their role. For instance, we supported one of our Patient Representatives to complete an NHS England course aimed at helping to reach out to minority and seldom heard groups.
